This is a very popular place, and for good reason. We were staying at a local hotel on a Thursday night in May and they recommended this place. We pulled in and were discouraged that the lot was full, and people were parked on the grass. But wonder of wonders, there was a space near the exit/entrance to the road. We were seated immediately (2 of us). I think there was a wait if we had wanted to sit outside. Our waiter came quickly and we ordered 2 flights of beer—all were excellent. The food was great. Loved the atmosphere. Prices very reasonable. If I could give 10 stars I would. We may visit from Greeneville again just to catch one of the live bands!
You simply have to try the fried green tomatoes!! They were fantastic! Went for a quick snack and couple of drinks. This place did not disappoint. Looking forward to going back!
The service here was incredibly fast. We went on a weekday at lunch. Everything we had was delicious. The tomato jam for the fried green tomatoes surprise me, but was very good. It had the perfect amount of sweetness. The flatbread was so big we ended up splitting it and still had a little bit extra. I don’t have a picture of it, but we also ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and the sweet potato fries had the perfect batter on them and were so crispy and yummy. I also ordered one of their mock tails that had apple and ginger in it, and that was REALLY good.
Had the hangover burger with a side of brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious. Staff was courteous and friendly. Will be back to try other items.
I'm just visiting the area and found this gem.. I absolutely loved all! The atmosphere is perfect for kids and dogs. The service was nice, really caring and friendly The food, it's something I would do my plates again just as I order. The meat was perfectly cooked as I order, the Brussels were outstanding, and the Volcano burger was really really tasty, spicy, but not too much.. it was just perfect!
We had chicken tenders, pizza, and a hamburger. The chicken was delicious! The pizza was very good. We ordered the hamburger well down, medium would have been better. Our server was Jaxon. He was friendly, helpful, attentive. He was the best! He deserves something special from management. We watched him serve other tables, same great service.
Had the garden salad with blackened chicken. Salad was really good. Fresh greens and tasty tender chicken. Been here a few other times for lunch and no complaints. All the food I've ordered was great. Very good prime rib sandwich with au jusas well.
12/27/2024 we had an excellent meal and great drinks.Add black horse, after a day of doing after-Christmas shopping. Our server was so friendly. She really made her experience wonderful. We tried the Blackhorse Pub yesterday. We were pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it is. The atmosphere is very nice. The bar is a dark color and looks beautiful. This seating is plentiful and not crowded. The mirrors on the wall give the restaurant dimension. There is a merchandise area with many shirts to choose from, for purchase. Our waitress, Hannah, was excellent. She had a great disposition and provided us with excellent service. The food was delicious. We started with the pretzels and did not realize we'd get three huge pretzels. They were served hot. The dipping sauce of cheese and another of mustard were very good. The prime rib sandwich was delicious, Adding the aujou on the side was a hit. The brussels sprouts were excellent. The Patty melt sandwich was very good, as was the loaded baked potato. I ordered my hamburger medium well. It came out medium. I'm not one to eat red, raw meat, so I left a little on the plate, but the rest of the hamburger was very good. The cocktails are fantastic. I had a strawberry drink that was like a strawberry lemonade with alcohol; it was delicious. They have a good selection of beer. The vanilla cream ale smells good and tastes good. If I had to give suggestions on how to make the restaurant better, I have a couple. 1. Be sure the meat is cooked to order. 2. Have any employees who want to set at the bar or a table after they get off work to change their shirt. It was odd to see employees working and then going to sit at the bar. I didn't know if they were just taking a break and having a drink while working or if they were off work and having a drink with friends. For an outsider, seeing an employee at the bar drinking is a little off-putting. All in all, this restaurant is great for families and adults.
